August is half gone!!!!!!

So I can't say if it's the heat or recovering from the wedding, but it's been two weeks and I'm still exhausted! I just can't seem to get moving again.
Here are a couple of pics from the wedding, again taken by me so excuse the quality (we're waiting on the professional ones). This is the groom and his brother and sister and of course DD1 with DD2 and DS. DS is leaving Sunday to go back to school and DD1 is with her husband in New York and DD2 is moving in October from Florida to probably Colorado. They're all going out into the world as I have raised them to do. I've heard of empty nest syndrome, but for the life of me, I don't have it. I think it's because there are too many pictures to be scrapbooked, too many stamps to stamped, and lots of wonderful friends to laugh with!!

Quick & Easy Christmas Treats

We are so fortunate to have well known local paper artist Terri Jones come and teach classes for us at C-Shore Creations! Her first class is Tuesday, August 24th. She's offering it at 12:30 and again at 6:30. You will make eight (8) Christmas treats in this class. I've posted some photos of a couple of them. Lots of fun and inspiration!! Call the shop and sign up today. (859)581-0960.

Fall Punch Art

This class is just too cute! I loved sitting in the Summer Punch Art class and the Fall Punch Art class is one I can't wait to sit in on either. There's just something about taking a small piece of scrap and turning it into something really cool to use on a card or scrapbook page! This class is on August 26th!

Yoga Cards for August

Betsy is always coming up with new and fun cards for us to make in our Yoga class. You can actually tell your husband your going to Yoga class and you're really stamping! These are too cute! You won't want to miss this one!!

Backgrounds II

This is an awesome class on Wednesday August 11th at both 12:30 and 6:30. It is not necessary for you to have taken Backgrounds I in order to take this class. Call the shop today to make your reservations!!!

The Wedding is over...

I am so sorry I haven't posted in almost a month, but as you can see, it's been crazy busy! Our oldest was married this past Friday. An absolutely beautiful bride! This is a quick picture for you. (taken by me before the ceremony, so you can imagine the state I was in. sorry for the imperfections.) It was a beautiful wedding and an amazing reception! She and the new hubby are on their honeymoon and will be moving to New York state next week. I ask for your prayers for the two of them.

I will be back in the shop tomorrow with regular hours! Whoohoo!! I am exhausted from the house full of company and all the goings on (the bachelorette party almost killed me, lol), but excited to not have any more boxes to make! By the way, to everyone who helped with the boxes, invitations, and everything else...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Everyone loved the boxes and I didn't see any in the trash!

Mouse in the House is tomorrow at 12:30 and again at 6:30. Don't forget to bring your own black stamp pad and white cardstock! Wednesday is "A Stitch in Time", which is booked solid with a waiting list. We will be offering this class again so stay tuned. Friday night is FIRST FRIDAY! The Dog Days of August! Bring your dog down and enjoy all the goings on! Til later...

69 of 300

The goal is to use something recycled for a card. I am amazed at the talent in the Ink or Dye Stamp Club!! I really struggled with this challenge. Of course now, I have tons of ideas! The idea for my card came to me when I was sitting at my favorite Bar-B-Que restaurant playing with the chipboard coasters on the table. I really liked the way it came out and am very glad I had shaving cream paper sitting around from "playtime with Jane" (below). Hope you like it!

Got Milk??? No!!!

Have you ever met someone who you just clicked with? That would be this crazy lady!! She makes me laugh even when life is hard. She's always there to lend a hand. And her son is not so bad either.
She loves, and I do mean loves, the smell of shaving cream. She had never seen the shaving cream technique and I showed it to her in a baker's dozen class at my home and she went nuts (as you can see by the photos). She grabbed some shaving cream and put it on her lip so that she could enjoy the smell. Keep in mind this is the cheap stuff from the dollar store. But, no matter. She loves it and she really liked the technique, too!

Stamps you like but hate...

If you look at a post below, you will see a baby card using an old Stampin' Up set that I absolutely LOVE! However, every single time I've used it, I've HATED it! The baby always comes out looking scary. So when offering the "special" Baker's Dozen kits that several of you had requested, you know the one with graduation, wedding, baby boy and baby girl cards, I decided to redo the baby cards. I chose Old Mother Goose and one of the sweetest sentiments. I love this card! Everyone who has seen it, loves it! I hate the SU Baby card!!! (Did I say that already?) You will find the adorabel SU baby set in the shop, priced very reasonably, might I add. You, too, will fall in love with it and hopefully not hate it at the same time. Stop in the shop and see all the new stuff while you're shopping for the SU baby set!!

So Much Goings On!!

Get in Shape card class is next Wednesday at 12:30 and 6:30. You will make 6 different cards and get the templates! This should be a fun class!!

This class is at 12:30, Friday, and is a "don't want to miss" class! Lisa is a member of the Unity Family and I personally had not heard of them before I met Lisa. I LOVE THEM! They are cute images as well as elegant images. Deeply etched, foam mounted rubber! As a matter of fact, I'm using their "Hey Chick" set in this month's Baker's Dozen.
Another of my favorite companies if Great Impressions! We all know and love their images and their boards each month. Crystal is going to be teaching the Great Impressions boards program each month for us! June's Great Impression I is Tuesday, the 15th at 12:30 and 6:30. Great Impressions II is the 23rd at 12:30 and 6:30.
Betsy's "Pocketful of Posies" has been rescheduled and I'll let you know as soon as we have it on the calendar!! The sample is now up in the shop! Absolutely adorable!!!!

The second Friday of each month, I leave at 5:30 to head out to Eastgate and teach the Baker's Dozen out there. Beth is at the shop and will take good care of you! Speaking of Beth, she's brought MORE new items in this week. I swear I can't keep up! You don't want to miss out on all that she has to offer at Crone Cottage. The Backgrounds class that Susan taught last night was awesome! Everyone learned so much and I had to keep popping in to see what the girls were up to. They had a ball! She will be offering it again, so let me know if you want to be on the list for this wonderful class.

I was busy working on orders so I didn't get to play, but maybe next time! Keep checking your emails for all the lastest info. If you don't receive the emails, please let me know and I will add you to the list.

66, 67 and 68 .... Cheating...Nooooooooo

Okay, so life is always exciting, to say the least. Home again safe and sound. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. DD2 is doing well and on the road to recovery. Now back to stamping!

In case you have been following the 365 in 365, you will note that some of the cards that I've spotlighted are not my creation, but rather ones that dear friends have created. DD1 says this is cheating. I say "bite me". There are only so many hours in a day, right?

So 66 - 68 are created by Lisa Henke. Lisa is a very talented artist who is one of the Dirty Dozen on Splitcoast as well as being on C-Shore's design team. She is teaching a class on June 11th using Unity Stamp Company stamps. Did I mention that Lisa is also on the design team for Unity? Here are the three cards you will make in her class. Sorry it is only being offered during the day at this time. Hopefully, she can do some classes in the evening as well. It's hard when you have small children. Great cards, Lisa! Thanks for putting me closer to my 365 goal by Dec. 1 ..... (I never said 2010 did I???)
